TIGER Airways has at last laid down the gauntlet to its competitors, announcing details of its first domestic route.
Subject to government approval the carrier’s first domestic flights will operate on 01 Dec between Melbourne and Darwin.
Initial frequencies will be double daily, with one-way fares on the route starting at $79.99 including all taxes and charges.
One of the flights will also connect with Tiger’s international A320 services between Darwin and Singapore, with the carrier offering a launch Flight Combo fare from $499 return, again inclusive of taxes. Further domestic route announcements could be expected over the coming weeks.
