Qantas - changes to the way your points expire  
1 July 2010:
*
  * Your points won't expire as long as you keep your account active by earning or using points through your account at least once every 18 months, rather than every three years as it is now.
*
  * Family transfers won't count towards keeping your account active.

How will this affect the points I have now?

Any points you have in your account at 30 June 2010 won't be affected by the change to the expiry period and will continue to expire after three years.

If you don't earn or use any points after 30 June 2010, the points you have earned before 1 July 2010 will expire three years after the date of your last activity.
