Delta to fly downunder!

US carrier Delta confirmed overnight, plans of operating LAX/SYD commencing 1 Jul 09 subject to Govt approval. The daily 777-200LR service is said to commence in Atlanta and sees it as the only US carrier to service six continents. It also adds the SkyTeam alliance to the already operating One World (QF) & Star Alliance (UA) across the Pacific.
