V AUSTRALIA SYD/LAX LAUNCH DELAYED DUE TO BOEING STRIKES

The ongoing strike at Boeing has forced V Australia to delay its planned launch of Sydney-LA flights on December 15.

Virgin Blue said in a statement that it “cannot guarantee the delivery date of the airline’s launch aircraft”.

The airline is now scheduled to commence services on February 28 next year. Alternative travel arrangements will be offered to all passengers booked for travel in the Christmas/New Year period.

However other airlines have seen the delay as an "easy out" and may cancel orders due to a possible down turn in their own air traffic. (Late news)
