QANTAS` A330-300 WA FORCED LANDING
You hear the bing. The seatbelt light goes off and then you hear click, click, click around you as passenger unfasten, because the sign says you can. Well, not this ol` fella!
Industry bulletins have revealed further information about Qantas QF72 - SIN to PER, forced to land in Learnmonth yesterday.
Reports indicate the plane (an A330-300) "just dropped out of the sky", described by a passenger on board. "I was strapped in. A few around me did not have seat belts on. They hit the roof and it really was quite nasty"
Severe and unexpected turbulence was considered the cause, something that can't always be detected by radar however latter reports indicate interference by a laptop computer's internet connection (or the likes), or possibility RAN's (Naval) communication signals over northern WA are plausible reasons and may have caused the aircraft systems to malfunction.
Investigations continue and passengers are being contacted for their account of "what went down".
